Empanada for a Dream, written/performed by Juan Francisco Villa and directed by Alex Levy, is a poignant and entertaining portrait of family and neighborhood – set against the secret that destroys it all.  It’s a haunting tale about growing up by getting out. And coming back -- to one boy’s Lower East Side.

Also, during the production, there will be a preview of Jamerican Rhapsody, written/performed by Leslie Hunter-Gadsden, one woman’s reflections on her Jamaican and American Heritage and her journey toward fully understanding how her Jamaican and African American roots are intertwined.
